Johnny was wandering through a dark forest one night, wondering how he got there... unaware he had already crossed over into the Dead World. He simply followed the sounds of the intriguing music he was hearing, until he discovered a mysterious cemetery... and a guitar. He began to play along with the music he heard, and the band was ready.

*A video was made portraying the events of Johnny’s introduction to the band. It has been featured on national TV and gathered over 10,000 views online! That video can be seen right here:

     Died: 1970
     Color: Red
Height: 5’ 9” (although with guts fully extended, he can be up to 10’)
     Instrument: Skins and Sawblades
     Favorite Pastime: Architecture and design

In the Living World, Jimmy worked the drums with the precision of a surgeon. Sharp as a scalpel, quick as a bone-saw, Jimmy had real guts behind the drums. His skills drew a lot of attention... including jealousy. One rival’s revenge later, and Jimmy found himself drumming in the Dead World. It didn’t take long for the growing band to find him.

Jimmy introduced the band to the best advancement in musical history the Living World ever came up with: Rock n’ Roll. That changed everything.

With a newfound focus and drive, the band set out to find someone wild on the guitar.

     Died: 1660
     Color: Green
Height: 5’ 5” (although she usually floats a foot or so from the floor)
     Instrument: Abyssal Violin
     Favorite Pastime: Card games

Once a famous violinist, Betty found herself in the Dead World after her ship was lost at sea. Ages passed as she played her violin in the dark, trying to find her way back to shore. Eventually, she heard the sounds of an organ playing from the edge of the sea, and followed it all the way back.

Her haunting strings have added a sense of ambiance, depth and curious nature to the band’s music ever since.

     Died: 1831
     Color: Purple
     Height: 6’ 6”
     Instrument: Skeleton Keys
     Favorite Pastime: Mask-making

Lonny used to play one of the largest pipe organs in the world... until the theatre around it burnt to the ground, with Lonny inside. In the Dead World, he played on, alone... until that fateful moment he heard a violin creeping in from the distance.

Betty and Lonny found their musical styles fit together perfectly. As they played, they wondered how other instruments might sound as well...

     Died: 1921
     Color: Blue
     Height: 6’
     Instrument: Shock Bass
     Favorite Pastime: Gadgetry

Franky wanted to amplify the sound of his bass, to rock the floor like the thunder in the clouds. He got his wish, when lightning struck his homemade equipment, exploding him to bits and sending him straight to the Dead World. Ever-resourceful, he stitched himself back together and went right back to work.

His rumbling bass attracted the attention of Lonny and Betty, who quickly invited him into the growing band. Franky eagerly accepted. His ingenuity, electrical knowhow, and thundering bass gave the band some real power.

What they needed now was someone to keep the beat.

     Died: 1994
     Color: Yellow
Height: 10” (approx. 6’ with stand)
     Instrument: Vocals
     Favorite Pastime: Philosophy

Put simply, The Face used to be Johnny’s face (see * above). When Johnny joined the band and passed over into the Dead World, his face was torn from his skull. It landed on a heap of broken, unused medical equipment, and soon sprung to its own form of life.

The Face delivers a wide range of vocal styles, and never requires the use of vocal effects. It just comes out that way.

It’s easy to say: there’s never been a band like this before.
This is The Band From Beyond...
The Band That Drips Blood...
The Band Whose Name You Should Never Say...
This is... Don’t Say The Name.

Jimmy

Founded in the Dead World over the course of several hundred years, these ghostly musicians defy categorization... or explanation. Their music combines elements of classic rock, heavy metal, surf, industrial, goth, and more. The band prefers to call it “Grindhouse Rock.” As long as it has an element of horror, nothing is off the table.

The band understands they may scare some people away. Their monstrous and strangely-animated appearance might be frightening, but in these modern times, that’s exactly the sort of thing some people are looking for.

After making big, bloody waves in the underground, Don’t Say The Name has finally crossed back over into the Living World… and they’re here to party.

With the release of their new 8 song cassette They Know You’re In There, the band is excited to entertain a new kind of audience… that means you!

Next up for the band is a series of video shoots to complement the new music, and a tour of the world’s finest cemeteries.
